Outdoor Amenities Design

Here's a project we've been working on for the past month. Jim Chapman Communities asked us to design their outdoor amenities. We are currently overseeing the construction of a bocce ball court, croquet court (and later a putting green) as well as a community garden. Alex designed a potting shed and an area with raised garden beds for residents to plant warm and cool season vegetables. There's also going to be a small orchard near the gardens. Our portion of this project should be done within the next two months. They also asked us to come up with a site plan...we've come up with a more sophisticated site plan design that we can offer our clients. This site plan will have a final size of 44.5" square and will be in their sales center plat table. We've made the BIG time!

The Veranda made news in the AJC business section this Sunday. James got a call from AJC reporter Mike Pearson who had just happened to drive by the site and saw our giant “business card” in front. The reporter was intrigued by some of the different and interesting architectural elements. We gathered a package together to send him and the result was a very nice write-up!

Brick is going up!

Here's the latest Veranda view! The building is being wrapped and readied for brick and stone. We are building out the space for Peggy Slappey Properties' new office in The Veranda so Rebecca is busy helping to pick out carpet and colors right now...It's going to be WAY COOL! Can't wait to post photos of that....

It's almost time for build-outs

James is on-site daily at The Veranda. The rest of the office enjoys seeing the daily and weekly progress that is being made. Everybody here has had some kind of hand in making this project happen and we're all proud of it! 

Welcome the latest addition at RDG!

James and Laura welcomed their first grandchild into the world last week...little Sophia was born on July 10 at 7:15 a.m. Proud daddy Caleb and mom Kelsey are doing just fine with their new little bundle of joy! She is PRECIOUS!!!

New "Business Card"

Here's our new “business card” for The Veranda. It's a 4'x 8' digital print mounted to alumacore. When we had it delivered to the office, it looked huge. On-site, it's the perfect size. We are all very proud of the way the job is progressing. Hopefully we'll be doing some of the build-outs starting in a few weeks.

The Veranda Gets Topped Off!

James was out yesterday morning watching the cupola and spire being placed on the tower. And the "feather in the cap" is the American flag....just in time for the Fourth of July!!
